I friend taught me and we jammed slightly. I'm not even sure its Danzig, but that's what he said.

    Its a Gothic sense of sound!I use it more than metal,to fill out
    my string integrations...

    It probably is bass!Doesn't look guitarish...The 7's sound great with 3
    for sure on bass!Nor does look like a Danzig sound...

    I don't know what song that is from. But if it was played in drop d it would be a common riff. I can't remember the name of the song or band. But there is a song in drop d that is played like that.

    Though I don't care for drop d tuning because IMO that is the lazy musicians 5th.

    It's not "Mother". Unfortunately thats the only Danzig
    song I've ever heard. The line you show is played entirely
    on the E string.
