Talking Heads videos extinct?

I watch the shows almost every morning during work. We have a couple of sets hooked up that we like to keep on VH1 Classic. It fits in with the whole vibe of our business. Anyway...  We got to talking the other day about some of the great videos of the 80s, and wondered why VH1 Classic never shows stuff like "Burning Down The House" or "Once In A Lifetime" by the Talking Heads. You see that song by the Tom Tom Club (not sure of the title, mostly an instrumental) about once or twice a week, but never the great Talking Heads stuff. Did something happen to those videos where they're not shown?  Just curious.

Thanks for the rundown, 'ringo. I suppose maybe I miss them when they're on at 4 or 5 a.m. :-p

I knew that TTC song had been played A TON. How is it that it gets played 15x since May, but an all-time CLASSIC like "Burning Down The House" is completely missing from the rotation? I don't get that.

OK, it took a while, but here are my notes on Talking Heads/Tom Tom Club from May 01 - July 30th.

Talking Heads haven't been on VH1 Classic a whole lot of times, but they are still represented on the channel. Even "True Stories" made an appearance on the R&R PICTURE SHOW a few days ago (07/28, 9PM).

[BTW, for any John Goodman fans, "King Ralph" was on cable earlier today.]

Meanwhile, back to the 'Heads, here's what's been on last few months:

NOTE: All Times Pacific.

Talking Heads: Once In A Lifetime (Original Version)
05/04 120 MINUTES 4 AM

=======================================

For the Tom Tom Club, "Genius Of Love" has been all over Classic last few months.

05/05 120 MINS 4 AM
05/09 TOT 80's 10 AM
05/14 TOT 80's 3 PM
05/19 MVBlock 7 AM
05/22 120 MINS 5 AM
06/01 TOT 80's 8 AM
06/09 120 MINS 3 AM
06/12 MVBlock 6 AM
06/28 TOT 80's 8 AM
06/30 TOT 80's 1 PM
07/10 120 MINS 5 AM
07/13 120 MINS 5 AM
07/18 TOT 80's 9 AM
07/21 TOT 80's 2 PM
07/27 TOT 80's 8 AM

Unfortunately, a second animated Tom Tom Club video, "Pleasure Of Love," has never, to my knowledge, aired on VH1 Classic. However, "Suboceana," a live action clip featuring Tina Weymouth looking like a jellyfish (or a sea anenome?) has made 2 appearances in the past 3 months:

Tom Tom Club: Suboceana / 06/23 120 MINUTES 3 AM
Tom Tom Club: Suboceana / 07/31 120 MINUTES 5 AM

In fairness, I should note that there was one day I missed video blocks because my cable screwed up during the night, so I lost 2 hours of 120 Minutes.

Hope this helps.

Early Monday Morning (07/28) saw the return of the original version of "Once In A Lifetime." I have additional notes on this subject, but I can't access them now. Later in the week, I'll get 'em here.

I did not find any Talking Heads video; but I did find my ALL TIME favorite musician George P Funk Clinton 80s video Atomic Dog I got to see him for the first time in my life at the Atlanta Civic Center, in November 2007. It was da bomb -- The diaper dude was there, wearing a diaper. George was not dressed in regalia; however, he still got the FUNK!
