Does anyone know if they've played videos by Pretty Maids at all? I haven't seen them. I wish they would play them if they haven't. They need to bring back Request Hour and they need to show different music videos on Metal Mania. They really do show the same things over and over. What happened to the old VH1 Classic when it was just music videos?

This has been a topic of debate for a LONG time! I believe that most metal fans will agree with you. They play the same select videos over and over (anybody else totally sick if Breaking the Law?) and throw in one or two new vids every few weeks. People have been trying to get VH1 Classic to make some changes, but no one seems to listen.

who cares skid row is metal & they show I Remember you & "18 & Life" evry once and a while but there good songs.Iron Maiden has Flight Of Icarus on metal mania cus they r metal bands!The Cult is classic metal,just like Def Leppard.ok.They have ballads cuz most of the ballads from the 80's & 90's came from the hair\glam &Heavy Metal bands.& they sound better from metal bands.I bet you like Aerosmith to,its like them,u dont complain when they play "Dream On" do ya.so dont compalin about metal mania!

I totally agree, once I saw Anthrax and a Pantera video during the same set and almost fell out of my chair...I love Metal Mania but some of those so-called "glam metal" bands aren't even metal! Whats so metal about "Fly to the angles" or "fly High Michelle?"

Hey Y'all
Just to throw out a topic for discussion, do y'all really think of bands like Bon Jovi, Skid Row, and all the other "hair" or "glam" groups to be REAL metal? Hard drivin', in your face rock and roll, maybe, but Metal?
I'm not sayin' I don't enjoy these songs, but there's nothin' like bein' blown away by Pantera or Slayer. I have a 7 year old and I will occasionally let her stay up to watch Metal Mania or Head Bangers Ball. She LOVES it and I know she's getting exposed to some REAL music. Mommy's Little Metal Head!!

Metal Mania is stagnant. It's the same handful of videos from the same handful of bands. I've been recording it to get my metal video fix and I've gotta fast-forward through the entire show because nothing is interesting anymore.

Metal Mania reminds me so much of the original Headbangers Ball..All they show is nothing but the god awful poser hair bands and not enough thrash videos.During their 4 hour telecast, this past saturday, they only showed(out of forty videos) two thrash videos..Come on VH1 Classic, show some "REAL" metal videos with bands like NUCLEAR ASSUALT, TESTAMENT, SLAYER, DEATH ANGEL, HELLOWEEN, PANTERA, VIO-LENCE, CRO-MAGS and much more.

Cool check out Dragon Force, they are metal as F*ck, at least a big hit in this house, also, you might like the new Throwdown cd, it is an "ode" to Pantera, very Vulgar..like....I don't usually dig screammy music, I happen to like to sing, Bullet For My Valentine is pretty good just saw them live...I am big on being able to hear the words, I dig lyrics more than music most of the time, But I could name a couple bands you may dig that are a bit reminisent of Maiden, or Priest...you may like them:)
